About

WHAT IS CAPSTONE? 

FEMMES+ Capstone is a free, day-long STEM fair hosted by Duke University FEMMES+ (Females and Allies Excelling More in Math, Engineering, and Science) on the Duke University campus.

 

The day is designed to introduce 4th-6th grade students in the Triangle to math, science, and engineering through fun and hands-on activities led by Duke faculty and various Duke organizations. Students are put into groups of 4 to 8 students, and led by Duke student volunteers, they cycle through 4 different activities throughout the day. Along the way there are fun bonding activities and a pizza lunch!

If your child is in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade and is interested in participating in a day of fun STEM activities, register here!

If you are interested in designing and leading a 45-minute STEM activity for 4th-6th grade students, register here! 

FOR DUKE UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS 

If you are interested in leading a group of 4-8 participants through a day of STEM activities, register here!
