FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING ON THE CAPSTONE BOARD: I love how enthusiastic everyone is about STEM education and exploration, from the rest of the board to the activity leaders and volunteers and especially the participants! It makes planning Capstone and actually seeing the day of Capstone materialize such a joyful process!

FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING ON THE CAPSTONE BOARD: I love that I've made some awesome friends who get just as excited as I do about planning an event for students to enjoy! I also love seeing our vision come to life on the day of Capstone. It's the best.

My favorite part about being on board is getting to see the impact that a STEM- and fun-filled day has on the participants, and how an event like this can help inspire the future generation of scientists. I also love getting to work with the other amazing and hard-working board members! They are truly STEM icons!!

I think although Capstone was designed to encourage student engagement in STEM and service the community, being on the board has also taught me a lot about myself and my passion for science education!
